"A gentleman tramp, more confused than decayed, tries to find his way through the streets of Amsterdam ... and time.”
Trivia:
The film A PENNY FOR... is one uninterrupted steadicam shot, following star 'Daniel Boissevain' through some gorgeous streets of Amsterdam.
Even though all permits and permissions were obtained, A PENNY FOR... was shot as low profile as possible. Which also means that there was no street-control or road blockers at all while filming. To have some safety for the camera-team, we opted to have skilled film-crew professionals in shot as extra's. Those were the watchdogs for safety during filming.
Elmer van der Marel, who plays the role of photographer in A PENNY FOR..., is actually the photographer of 'The Photo Of The Day' for the Dutch Newspaper 'Het Parool'.
